We've tried military intervention before and it only destabilizes the region further. Diplomacy might be slower, but it's the only path to lasting peace.

Military strength sometimes forces the other side to the negotiating table. Without showing we're willing to act, diplomacy becomes meaningless.

Both approaches have failed in the past. But continuing strikes will only create more extremists and suffering for innocent people.
