My partner insists shoes off. I compromise by leaving mine on in the kitchen but removing them in the lounge. Works somehow.

Shoes off. I don't care if you're offended—you're not dragging the street into my living room.

Keep 'em on, mate. Life's too short to worry about every footprint.

I grew up shoes-on, moved to a shoes-off household, and now I cannot go back. The comfort difference is real.

Depends on the flooring, honestly. Hardwood? Fine. New carpet? Absolutely not.

Shoes off immediately. Your home is a clean zone. It's not negotiable.
