Real talk: most families can't afford to have someone stop work, and most homes aren't equipped for dementia. It's a lose-lose.

Move in with family if possible. Elders deserve to age surrounded by people who love them, not warehoused.

My mum's in a home now and she's honestly happier—made friends, activities every day, proper medical care. We still see her all the time.

Depends entirely on the family's situation. Can't paint this with one brush.

Care homes have trained staff 24/7. Not everyone can handle the physical and emotional toll at home.

Family care keeps elderly connected to loved ones and memories. Better for mental health long-term.
