AI flags your child as a future criminal. Do you act on it?

Acting on it could become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Kid gets labeled, treated differently, becomes what the flag predicted.

The real question is: who built this algorithm and what data trained it? That answer determines everything.

Early intervention saves lives though. If counseling or mentorship could redirect someone, why wouldn't you try?

If the algorithm was actually reliable I'd consider it, but these systems are notoriously biased against certain communities. Hard pass.

This is exactly how dystopia starts. You can't punish someone for a crime they haven't committed.
