This is why we have historians and courts, not tabloids. Truth with dignity is possible.

Respect for the dead includes respecting their wish for privacy. Not everything needs to come out just because someone's gone.

The dead can't suffer anymore, so truth doesn't hurt them. It can help the living understand history and prevent repeating it.

Some secrets are kinder left buried. Not every dead person signed up to have their private moments or mistakes exposed to the world.

Truth matters even after death. Families deserve to know what really happened, especially if there's injustice involved. Ignorance doesn't honor anyone.
