The dead deserve truth, or let them rest in peace?

This is why we have historians and courts, not tabloids. Truth with dignity is possible.

Respect for the dead includes respecting their wish for privacy. Not everything needs to come out just because someone's gone.

The dead can't suffer anymore, so truth doesn't hurt them. It can help the living understand history and prevent repeating it.

depends on context tbh. war crimes? yes. who someone dated? maybe let it go.
