Mental pain, physical pain: same sick day, or a different thing?

Anyone who's had severe anxiety knows it's just as disabling as the flu. Same sick day, period.

Psychology differs from physiology. Mental pain is real but it's processed differently. You can't bandage depression.

Different mechanisms, same outcome—you can't function. Honestly both deserve a sick day.

They're both exhausting though. Whether it's depression or the flu, you're equally useless that day.

Hard disagree. A migraine from stress isn't the same as a broken ankle. One's real, one's in your head.
